With Marc's parents |
We arrived in Chicago on June 26th. We spent the first few weeks based in the Chicago area staying with Charin’s parents. We really enjoyed seeing them again. During that time we visited churches in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri and Iowa. A few of these churches were supporting churches, but many were new churches for us. We were well received, and we trust that we will see several of these churches take us on for support.
August, 2014
Dear Friends,
Greetings from North Carolina. As you can see, we are in the US on furlough. Please allow me to bring you up to date on the past two months.
Furlough News:
July 23rd we left Indiana and headed south. Thus far we have visited churches in Virginia and North Carolina, but over the next few weeks we will be presenting in churches in Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee as well. We will spend a week in Jacksonville, Florida in mid-August to drop off Nancy and Ben at Trinity Baptist College to begin their first semester in the Fall. Please pray for them (and us!) as this will be a major adjustment.
We have had a great furlough thus far. Several churches have expressed a desire to take us on for support. We continue to pray that we will be able to make up much of the support that we lost due to last year’s transition.
We will return to Hungary on August 28th. Esther and Hannah start school on September 1st. Charin will also be teaching English in two elementary schools, so she has to be back for the start of the school year as well. We will have a busy fall schedule awaiting us.
News from Hungary:
Services in all three of our churches have gone well in our absence. We are thankful for the good leaders the Lord has given us. Our church in Esztergom held its annual English camp from July 21-25. They had the biggest attendance ever. We are thankful for the team of Americans that helped out during that week.
Marc
